Overview

A tour that’s the boast of the Atlantic coast. Mile upon mile of quiet rolling roads with some of the most spectacular views imaginable. The attractive suburbs of Sea Point and Camps Bay quickly give way to quaint villages and fishing harbours backed with magnificent mountains, fringed with sandy beaches. Visit Good Hope Nature Reserve, home to exotic birdlife, antelope and zebra. Not to mention historic lighthouses and shipwrecks. Next stop Boulders Beach where you can marvel at the huge colony of penguins, before returning to Cape Town via yet more idyllic villages

    Day by day

    1. 01

      Stop 1

      A short drive takes us to the historic Malay quarter lined with colourful picturesque houses. Enjoy a guided walk along these cobbled streets lined with coloured houses and discover the city’s ancient Muslim traditions.

    2. 02

      Stop 2

      Continuing along the Atlantic seaboard we stop at Clifton Beaches. Known for its sugar white sand beach. The backdrop here is equally stunning with one of Cape Town’s best known mountains, Lion’s Head, rising up directly behind and the Twelve Apostles looming to the south.

    3. 03

      Stop 3

      Our next stop is Houtbay Habour dotted with fishing boats and yachts. Travelers have an option of an exciting, boat cruise from Hout Bay harbour to Duiker Island (own expense). The island is home to thousands of wild Cape Fur Seals that can be viewed close up in their beautiful natural habitat.

      Stop 4

      We traverse along Chapman’s Peak Drive, one of the most spectacular marine drives in the world with numerous lookout stops.

      Stop 5

      Passing through numerous villages we proceed to Cape Point Nature Reserve, a World Heritage Site, and protected Nature Reserve. It is an area of vast natural beauty, world renown for its natural vegetation and rich bio-diversity. Ostriches, baboons and antelope reside in this natural habitat.

      Stop 6

      Enjoy a leisurely hike (or take a funicular ride - own expense) to the historic lighthouses, while taking in the breath taking seascapes.

      Stop 7

      Enjoy a photo stop at the most south western point of the African continent, characterized by rugged mountains and breathtaking seascapes.

      Stop 8

      We proceed with our day on the eastern side of the Cape Peninsula to Boulders Beach Sanctuary. This is one of the best locations to watch and enjoy African penguins. After the penguin excursion, time is spent in one of the many restaurants in the area to enjoy lunch - own expense.

    9. 09

      Stop 9

      Our onward drive takes us through fishing villages including Muizenberg. Muizenberg is where surfing started in South Africa and it is proudly home to a surfing community. This is a good spot for long boarding and perfect for absolute beginners. Departing Muizenberg, we enjoy a 30 mins drive back to our starting point for drop off.
